Monthly Updates: February 2026- Patterns, Cycles and Paying Attention

January has been a month of expanding my capacity and resilience. New offerings, new experiences, and continued learning, both in business and personally. My daily rituals have helped me stay grounded and steady as I continue to grow my knowledge and skills, even when things feel full.
To close out the month, my husband and I went to see Professor Brian Cox on his Emergence tour, and we were completely blown away. The science was mind blowing and the way quantum physics, evolution and the story of our universe were brought together was genuinely awe-inspiring.
One of the biggest takeaways for me wasn’t new, but this time it landed with a deeper sense of knowing. We are not separate from the universe, we are formed from it. Over billions of years, the same matter that makes up stars, galaxies and cosmic patterns has evolved into this planet and into us. That isn’t philosophy or spirituality, it’s scientific fact.
What really struck me were the visual patterns. Images of distant galaxies mirrored patterns found in nature and even within the structure of human tissue. Repeating shapes, symmetry, order within complexity. It made me wonder how often things we describe as spiritual experiences are simply us sensing truths that science is also pointing towards.
I left with that familiar sense of wonder and a continued pull towards space and the bigger picture. I’ve dipped a toe into the world of astrology and with the full moon this weekend, I found myself reflecting on how the modern world runs on a twelve-month calendar, while nature moves through thirteen lunar cycles each year.
So much of the natural world works in rhythms, cycles and patterns. The tides, seasons, sleep, hormones, growth. Yet we often organise our lives around fixed dates and deadlines that don’t always reflect how our bodies and energy actually move.

So I’ve decided to run my own experiment. I’ve bought a moon diary and I’m going to start paying more attention to the lunar cycle, setting intentions, resting and taking action in alignment with it, and thinking a little less rigidly about the standard monthly calendar. Lets see what happens....
A simple learning from this reflection.
Not everything needs to be forced or fully understood before it’s explored. Sometimes awareness comes first, and meaning follows later. When we pay attention to patterns, whether in nature, science or ourselves, we often find guidance without having to search so hard for it.
Journal prompts for you
You might like to take a few quiet moments with one or two of these:
Where in my life do I notice natural cycles or patterns already.
When do I feel most energised and when do I feel drawn towards rest.
What might change if I trusted my own rhythms a little more.
